Biography

Bryce Johnson is a founding member and lead attorney at State 48 Law. He is dedicated to his clients, focused on helping them achieve the best results for their future and their family. Bryce is known for his strong communication skills, his ability to think through difficult situations, and his creative strategies backed by a clear game plan on how to move forward. Using creative solutions and keeping his client’s best interests protected, Bryce is resolution focused.

Before relocating to the Arizona desert for law school, Bryce was born and raised in Illinois. He attended Illinois State University for his undergraduate degree. Coming from a family of teachers, Bryce graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education. His background and interest in education gives Bryce a unique approach to keeping your child’s best interests in mind throughout your family law matter.

Bryce is an avid professional sports fan and enjoys staying active in organized recreational sports leagues in the Valley. His competitive nature on the sports field translates to the office and Courtroom where he aims to out work, out prepare, and ultimately out litigate other family law attorneys to bring his clients the results they want.

Q & A

What is your most memorable day in Court?

My most memorable day in Court is helping out a client where the opposing party took out an Order of Protection without any factual basis simply to prevent my client from seeing the children. He was forced to go an entire Christmas and significant time after without seeing the children while he waited for his day in Court. After representing him as his hearing, I was able to not only have the Order of Protection dismissed entirely but also secure him equal parenting time immediately. It is moments like these that keep me motivated to keep fighting the good fight in family law and working to help families in their times of need.

What is your favorite way to spend time away from the office?

You can often catch me cheering on my Packers, Bulls, and White Sox or relaxing by the pool with a cold drink in my hand.

If you were not an attorney, what field of work would you be in?

I would see myself as an aspiring fantasy sports analyst. Whether it is football, baseball, or basketball, you can find me outside of work reading the latest fantasy articles and managing my fantasy sports teams. As an attorney, I have developed a passion for writing which I could see myself applying to topics outside of the law such as writing fantasy sports articles for avid sports fans.

From the team:

What clients like most about working with Bryce is his ability to come up with creative solutions that work best for both parties and in the best interest of the child. With a resolution mindset, he enjoys helping clients see beyond the frustration and back and forth of litigation and focus on building and maintaining relationships with their children and as co-parents to ensure the child has a loving support system coming out of a difficult time for a family.

If you are reading this review in your search for a GREAT Family Law Attorney, please look no further than Bryce Johnson and his colleagues at State 48 Law. In addition to being reputable, knowledgeable, honest and high integrity professionals, Mr. Johnson and his colleagues are all kind, gracious and extremely compassionate individuals. As I was preparing to confront the daunting reality of engaging in a contested divorce with young children, there was no factor more critical for me than researching, identifying and, ultimately, retaining highly competent, qualified and affordable legal representation. As I near the conclusion of this extremely difficult, arduous and challenging life experience, it is with great confidence that I can share with you that Mr. Johnson and his team fit that bill for me better than I could have ever possibly imagined. Throughout this entire process, everyone at the firm treated me with the courtesy and respect that you would extend a lifelong friend, and for that humble gesture I shall remain forever grateful . . .

Bryce is a true professional, and an absolute pleasure to work with. My custody battle was an experience that can best be described as every parent’s worst nightmare. Bryce, co-counsel David, and their entire staff were fantastic. Bryce was empathetic, and took time to explain my options so we could make the best choice. I really appreciate how dedicated Bryce was to my case, knowing every detail inside and out. Bryce spent many hours making sure we got every detail right as we prepared for our final trial. Bryce’s hard work and dedication paid off. In comparison, we went into our final trial with a 53 page pretrial statement, over 1000 pages of evidence, and supporting testimony and documentation from the Court Appointed Advisor charged with investigating our case. The opposing counsel prepared a 7 page pretrial statement, barely over 100 pages of evidence, with the CAA recommending strong sanctions for mother’s negligent actions. There are many different attorneys to choose from, but when your family’s future is on the line having the peace of mind of an attorney like Bryce in your corner is a blessing. I would highly recommend Bryce Johnson for any family court issue you’re faced with.
