Samantha is an associate attorney at State 48 Law Firm. She originally joined the State 48 team as a law clerk during her last semester of law school and returned to the firm after graduating and taking the bar exam.
Samantha enjoys working in Family Law because of the meaningful relationships she gets to form with clients and the satisfaction she gets from helping them through difficult times. Samantha’s strengths include excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence as well as keen attention to detail.
Samantha is originally from Michigan. After spending 18 years in the cold, she went to the Deep South for undergrad (Roll Tide!) but couldn’t stand the humidity. Thankfully, she came to Arizona for law school, loved the “dry heat,” and has stayed here since.
While attending ASU Law, Samantha worked in several legal settings, including at a non-profit, a federal governmental agency, and other law firms. Her favorite part of law school was participating in the Mediation Clinic, where she served as a mediator in numerous civil cases. Samantha brings this dispute resolution experience to all her cases.
What do you enjoy in your free time?
I like to spend time outside—whether it’s reading poolside or hiking, I am happiest with the sun shining on me. I also love to garden (I have quite the collection of indoor and outdoor plants), go thrift shopping, and try out new bars and restaurants throughout the Valley. I have traveled to over a dozen countries and have a goal of visiting every U.S. state.
What do you like best about working at State 48?
State 48 Law Firm is hands-down the most client-focused law firm I have ever worked at. Every day I am impressed by the knowledge and creativity of my coworkers.
