Ankita is a lead attorney at State 48 Law Firm who graduated from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law with the Highest Distinction for her pro bono work.
Prior to attending law school, Ankita served for a year in the AmeriCorps and taught kindergarten to underprivileged children in one of the most impoverished parts of Washington D.C. While in law school, Ankita worked as a certified limited practice student at the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office and as a law clerk at the United States Senate. Ankita gained invaluable experience in family law, working as a judicial intern for the Honorable Katherine Cooper while Judge Cooper was on her family law rotation at the Arizona Superior Court. Ankita’s work with troubled families and familiarity with the law enables her to keep your children’s best interests in mind while advocating for you throughout your matter.
Known for her strong argument and drafting abilities, Ankita works at both the trial and appellate court level, with a win in the appellate court as recently as August 2021.
Outside of work, what do you do for fun?
Outside of work, I like to do puzzles, recently, wooden puzzles from Liberty Puzzles in Colorado. I also like to send people spicy memes, binge watch Netflix (Money Heist, anyone?), and eat entire family sized bags of chips in one sitting. To counteract, I also like (or force) myself to run and to hike with my puppy, Max.
What is your favorite part about living in Arizona?
My favorite part about living in Arizona is the sunsets.
Why did you choose family law?
Many of my family members are doctors and I wanted to be one too. AP Chemistry was not for me, so I found a way to use my skills – reading, writing, and speaking – to help people in my own way. I chose family law, in particular, to help people during a scary, confusing time in their lives and to advocate for and give a voice to people who cannot always find their own.
Clients who work with Ankita give positive feedback about how informed they were throughout the process and how she can strongly present her arguments in motions and pleadings by incorporating details that others may glaze over. This attention to detail in her writing allows her to strongly advocate for her clients and their children.
See what Ankita’s clients have to say:
“Thank you Ankita for finalizing my divorce decree. It was a pleasure working with you. I appreciate you explaining the process as I went through my postnuptial and then my divorce. You made the process seamless. Thank you.”

“Having Ankita working with me on my team provided a dedicated attorney that was always professional, kept my case on track, promptly returned my phone calls, access to legal advice whenever I needed it. I would highly recommend Ankita as an attorney.”

“Ms. Gupta and I opposed each other in a highly contentious Trial. I was impressed by her poise and quick thinking during presentation of her case. She presented her case in a clear linear fashion despite a challenging fact pattern and, in doing so, provided a compelling argument on behalf of her client.”
